All unique web addresses are called domains, for example http://bbc.co.uk. These have to be hosted on dedicated web servers. There are several stages involved:

1. Choose a name for your domain

4. Contract a web server to house the domain

Web servers

The web server typically charges a fee per month for housing the website domain. Usually payment for a two year period is about 15% cheaper and is therefore recommended.

We design the site with the Company in mind. If the client has specific preferences, logos or photographs required, then these can be provided or designed in-house.

Preparation of a mock-up design

If the client is satisfied with the look and feel of the mock-up then we can proceed with the genuine site design, consulting the client at every stage.

Search engine optimisation SEO

All of our sites are designed with the search engines in mind. After all, it's no use being on the web if no-one can find you! SEO is carried out on all web pages and sitemaps are constructed to help with search engine placement.

Once the website is on-line further SEO involves submission to the search engines, Google, MSN, Yahoo etc. as well as submission to local websites for links.
